darren boedekerdarren boedeker ★★★★★ At the time of writing this, I am 473 days sober, thanks in large part to this place. (I have heard that there may have been changes in ownership/management since I was here, but my review is of my experience)I had as good of an experience as one can have doing recovery work like this, which is to say, "I had an amazing experience at Palmer Lake!!" Very difficult work with self and others, but the most rewarding kind of work there is.The staff were friendly, helpful, experienced and professional. The program itself was very top level in terms of psychological and experiential content (I know this having continued with CBT and DBT therapy). There were lots of activities which are normally related to substances (billiards and games, karaoke, etc.) to gain exposure to these things in a safe place. The facility itself is in a beautiful location as well.I would recommend this program to anyone! Thank you PLR!!!Chad LethwaiteChad Lethwaite ★★★★★ I had a great experience, I only went to detox do to just having a short relapse but I ended up staying for the 30 day program. I strongly recommend Recovery Village to anyone that is struggling with addiction or mental issues. The staff are great, good facility, good programs and the food was good as well. Thank you to all the staff at PLR! This experience changed my life!Response from the ownerThank you, Chad! We appreciate your recommendation and are glad our detox program effectively supported your needs. Renee MeyersRenee Meyers ★★★★★ Justin TreadwayJustin Treadway ★★★★★ Mark RodioMark Rodio ★★★★★ For me. It was as if they showed me the owner's manual for my brain and then, taught me how to repair it.Toad ZamarripaToad Zamarripa ★★★★★ Really great staff. It’s truly a learning experience. More SMART Recovery than 12 step. Really great if you have a Trauma background. Food is excellent!Sydnee ShirleySydnee Shirley ★★★★★ We called and Matt, was awesome and really helped us understand what we were getting into when it came to starting recovery. We are scared but ready to start this better journeyHeather StannardHeather Stannard ★★★★☆ Richard YoungRichard Young ★★★★★ Can not say enough good things about this place. The staff really cares about every single patient! It shows in everything they do. Highly recommend this rehab center. Take that first step, pass through the doors into PLR!Trust the process!Response from the ownerRichard, your feedback is greatly appreciated! We're proud that our dedicated team’s care and commitment stood out during your stay. Derek MinorDerek Minor ★★★★★ Great service app, no wait times on the phone, quick answers and intake processmJ CJ C ★★★★☆ My therapist Shae was amazing! He is what kept me there on days I really wanted to quit. I couldn’t have done it without him! From the first time I met him in detox to having one on one sessions. He helped me find myself again and so much more! By the end of the stay I didn’t want to go. Thank you Shea!!!!As for the rest, the meals were great for the most part. Most of the staff was kind and caring excusing the few bad apples. There were a lot of spiders and ants in the room and we did not have a tv. But they do allow you to keep your phone at all times with cameras covered and your vape after detox. In detox you are kept comfortable. I just took my meds and slept for 4 days and boy did I need that rest! The worst part was that I was told they took Medicaid then told they don’t. Then told they will take both of my insurances and that they were on my file to later find out only my primary was on there. The consistency here isnt the best. My whole stay someone would tell me something and another the exact opposite. But other than that I would say it was a nice stay. Also nurse Kendra in meds was so joyful. And Mr. David and Jessica’s classes were interesting and fun. I really enjoyed my instructors.Katie Cole CalvertKatie Cole Calvert ★★★★★ The building got a great remodel and is super comfortable. The outdoor space is gorgeous. The staff is incredible. From the BHTs to the doctors. With Britney the nurse being the true all star. I couldn’t be more pleased with the way the program is set up and the staff and setting. The food is definitely hit or miss and the coffee is not great but the new vending machines definitely help! Even if you feel that you just need to go to detox safely this is the spot. Highly recommend!!! I miss my girl Brit!Geoffrey CalnanGeoffrey Calnan ★★★★★ This is the best facility for miles.
